      Summer Lash Trends

Summer can feel daunting when there seems to be a new beauty trend to try every year. With so many choices, clients may find it difficult to select something new or daring. As temperatures rise, many people choose to minimise the number of products they use on their skin, replacing heavier makeup with SPF and embracing a more natural look. But what does that mean for their lashes? Here are some summer lash extension trends you can offer to help clients refresh and elevate their look.

      Natural Half Lash Set

An increasingly popular trend is the Half Lash look. This is an alternative to a full set of Classic Lashes, with extensions applied from the middle of the natural lash line towards the outer corner. It creates a subtle lift that helps open the eyes while maintaining a light and natural-looking finish.

Chelsea Lashes are ideal for creating a soft and natural Half Lash set. For clients who want a slightly bolder finish, consider using Mayfair Lashes.

For an even softer result, pair clear Crystal Bond adhesive with Black Brown Ristretto Lashes to create an almost nude lash look. Read our complete guide to the Half Lash Set for more application advice.

      Hybrid Lashes

Hybrid lashes are one trend that never goes out of style. Offering Hybrid Lash Sets can be particularly useful during the summer shedding season.

Hot and humid conditions, workouts, swimming, trips to the beach and oil-based sunscreens can all affect how lash extensions look and perform between appointments. Hybrid sets combine fans with individual classic lashes, helping to cover gaps while adding light texture and definition.

      Wet Look Lashes

If your client wants more texture, Wet Look Lashes are an excellent choice. Inspired by the appearance of lashes after swimming, the technique uses closed volume fans or spikes rather than fully opened fans.

Apply a small amount of Primer to the tips of the lashes using a Micro Brush, carefully avoiding the base of the strip. This helps the tips remain together to form defined spikes.

Use finer Volume Lashes to keep the spikes lightweight. The finished Wet Look set creates bold texture, frames the eyes and adds definition without producing an overly heavy result.

      Brown Lashes

Some clients still want the density of a bold volume set but prefer a softer, more natural finish during summer. Brown Lash Extensions provide an effective alternative to black volume lashes, maintaining density while creating a softer overall appearance.

Brown lashes complement warmer complexions and can be particularly flattering for clients with fair hair who find black extensions too dark. Pairing them with clear Crystal Bond adhesive creates a less prominent lash line and an even more subtle finish.

      A Pop of Colour

For clients who are ready to experiment with summer lash trends, Coloured Lashes can add an eye-catching accent to almost any established lash style.

Coloured lashes are ideal for clients attending summer festivals, celebrations or parties. Adding brightly coloured spikes towards the outer corner of the lash line creates a playful finish while visually lifting and accentuating the eyes.
